Rescued Dog Inspires Spiritual Transformation

Rıdvan Ordu, who lives in Eskişehir, Türkiye adopted a dog named Casper that had suffered abuse seven years ago. When Casper was three years old, he had a spinal cord disorder that left him unable to use his hind legs despite surgeries. Ordu, deeply attached to Casper, designed custom equipment to help him live comfortably and even became more religious, adopting Islam. He affectionately called Casper “The Rose of My Prayer Rug.”

Ordu sees Casper as a divine trust and is committed to taking care of him to the best of his ability. Casper’s joy in life and resilience have inspired others. Ordu initially wasn’t religious but believes that seeing Casper’s struggle was a spiritual awakening, though he doesn’t see it as a form of punishment from a higher power.
