Visitors, experiencing around 20 centimeters of snow, reveled in the wintry conditions.
Akyazı Mayor Bilal Soykan mentioned the likelihood of rescheduling the annual sleigh festival due to the heavy snow, highlighting the district’s charm across all four seasons. He expressed optimism about potentially moving the festival earlier than its usual February schedule if the snowfall continues.
