Hosted by UN Special Representative Colin Stewart, the meeting focused on easing congestion at border crossings, including discussions on opening a new vehicle crossing at Haspolat.
President Tatar highlighted the potential for increased trade and smoother transit through the Green Line Regulation. The Greek Cypriot side reportedly seeks reciprocal transit arrangements. This marks the first direct meeting between the leaders since December, with Tatar expected to address the media afterward.
