Enver Yılmaz, who went to his garden in Akyazı district of Sakarya, Turkey, to check on the potatoes he planted, was surprised to see tomato-looking fruits. According to Agricultural Engineer Nur Noyan, the tomato-like fruit that grows from the planted potato is poisonous and should not be consumed.
“A fruit that turns into a fruit and looks like a tomato is not a tomato,” Nur Noyan stated. “It is only related because they are from the same family. As a result, the fruit that resembles a tomato should not be consumed.”
