Turkish made Military Planes Take to the Skies

Bayraktar KIZILELMA took off from Tekirdağ’s Çorlu Airport Base, where the Akıncı Flight Training and Test Center is based, to Atatürk Airport to be displayed as part of TEKNOFEST 2023. After two low-altitude salutations over Istanbul Atatürk Airport, Bayraktar KIZILELMA safely landed at 01:09 p.m.

HÜRJET, Türkiye’s first domestically produced jet-powered military aircraft, training aircraft, and light attack aircraft prototype, took to the skies today. HÜRJET took off for its first flight to the runway at 07.35 a.m. and remained in the air for 26 minutes until landing safely. During the test, HÜRJET attained an altitude of 14 thousand feet and an airspeed of 250 knots. HÜRJET successfully completed its first flight test, with all of its systems functioning as planned.
