Ukraine launched its largest drone attack on Moscow in two years, dispatching at least 194 drones to strike key infrastructure, including a major oil refinery. The Russian Ministry of Defense reported intercepting a total of 555 drones nationwide before retaliating with 239 drones and seven missiles aimed at Ukrainian territory. These Russian counter-strikes successfully hit energy facilities, oil infrastructure, and private residences across the Kyiv and Poltava regions. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky defended the refinery bombings as a justified response necessary to cripple Russia’s war machine. Highlighting the precision of Ukraine’s long-range capabilities, he stated that the time has come to end the conflict and urged Moscow to take necessary diplomatic steps.
