US Intercepts Iranian Tanker

US troops recently boarded an Iranian-flagged oil tanker in the Gulf of Oman under suspicion that it was attempting to evade the ongoing naval blockade. The US blockade, which targets vessels traveling to and from Iranian ports through the strategic Strait of Hormuz, has been strictly enforced since April 13. After thoroughly searching the ship, American forces ordered the crew to alter their course before departing the vessel. According to the US Central Command (CENTCOM), the military continues to fully enforce these maritime restrictions and has successfully redirected 91 commercial ships to ensure compliance.
