Woman wearing kimono is taken in custody in China

A woman, cosplaying a manga character from Summer Time Rendering and taking photos on street, is taken into custody for wearing a kimono in China. She stated that the officers accused her with making trouble by wearing a Japanese kimono. The officers also said “When you come here you must wear Hangu (traditional Chinese outfit). You are wearing a kimono, as a Chinese. Are you really Chinese? She stated that they held her in custody for 5 hours, searched her phone, and confiscated the kimono. She was also warned about sharing about the incident online.
