An activist with a banner reading ‘Overconsumption equals extinction’ took the catwalk during the Louis Vuitton presentation of Spring/Summer 2022 collection at Paris Fashion Week in France. The guards chucked the activist out shortly after the incident.
Extinction Rebellion, Amis de la Terre and Youth for Climate stated that about 30 people were involved in the planning of the protest, and 2 people were detained. Environmental groups called for the government to make an immediate cut in production in the sector as 42 pieces of clothing were sold per person in France in 2019.
