An Israeli airstrike in the Gaza Strip killed seven people and injured 15 others on the first day of the Eid al-Adha holiday. Emergency rescue teams rushed to the scene after the attack reduced a building to rubble, directly violating a ceasefire agreement established in October 2025. Despite the official truce, violence has persisted, with more than 900 people killed and nearly 2,750 injured since the deal was signed. Overall, the total death toll in the enclave has surpassed 72,800 since the broader conflict initially began in October 2023.
