Former Prime Minister of Italy and leader of the Forza Italia party, Silvio Berlusconi, was announced to have died during his treatment at San Raffaele Hospital in Milan. Berlusconi was hospitalized on April 5 due to a lung infection and diagnosed with leukemia afterwards.
Billionaire businessman Berlusconi, who is also a media mogul in Italy, took office as prime minister for the first time in 1994 and presided over four Italian governments until 2011. He also assumed the presidency of Milan, one of the most important clubs in Italy.
