Passenger Opens Emergency Exit Door on Asiana Airlines Flight in South Korea

A passenger aboard an Asiana Airlines flight departing from Jeju Island, South Korea, alarmed fellow travelers by opening the emergency exit door as the plane neared landing. Despite the unsettling incident, the aircraft safely landed at Daegu International Airport with the door still open. Authorities have reported that several passengers among the 194 on board experienced respiratory issues and were subsequently transported to a local hospital for medical evaluation.

In the aftermath, South Korea’s official news agency confirmed that the male passenger, believed to be in his 30s, was apprehended by local law enforcement upon arrival at the airport. Asiana Airlines has confirmed the initiation of an investigation into the incident to determine the circumstances surrounding the event.
